Our intake gold heat shield is made of Aluminium and fibreglass, with a hook and loop fastener. Use foil tape to seal. The intake heat shield has an adjustable inside diameter from 3" to 4" so it will fit almost any air intake tube easily. It is also used to increase your horsepower and improve fuel economy by lowering air intake temperatures.

The express heat shield sleeve is non-flammable, offers great short-term flame protection, has excellent thermal insulation properties and is perfect for automotive applications to protect against heat soak for fuel lines, wiring looms, air intakes, intercooler piping and air conditioning hoses.

Always order a slightly larger diameter for your intended application to allow for ease of installation and to give enough clearance for bends.

• The Gold intake Pipe Heat Shield is not stretchable, to conform to 3 dimensional surfaces you will need to cut and trim the product to fit smoothly.
• The gold intake Pipe Heat Shield is designed to reflect radiant heat and not designed to be in direct contact with the heat source, although the barrier can withstand up to 290°C direct the performance can be limited by the underlying adhesive backing which is only rated up to 175°C. If the barrier is in very close proximity or direct contact to the source, then please look at our non-adhesive heat protection products.
