A popular & reliable trinary pressure switch used on many OEM applications.
The switch is effectively a safety device that will engage or disengage components within the Air Conditioning system to prevent self-destruction. There are two types of switch, trinary and binary switch, a trinary pressure switch is effectively a binary switch with an additional fan engagement output. Under a certain pressure and the switch will disengage the compressor to prevent it running 'dry', if the pressure increases to the intermediate set point then the switch will engage the AC fan to help bring the pressure down, if the pressure continues to rise then the switch will disengage the compressor and shut the system down.

The Black/Green wires are for High & Low Pressure switching, and the Blue are for the Medium Pressure switching side.
