DeatschWerks DW400 415LPH In-Tank Fuel Pump With Universal Installation Kit
DeatschWerks DW400 415LPH In-Tank Fuel Pump With Universal Installation Kit
The DeatschWerks DW400 is the highest flowing in-tank fuel pump on the market. Quiet operation and pulse width modulation compatibility are delivered via the turbine impeller and computer balanced armature. E85 compatibility is built in via the carbon commutators and a fully encapsulated armature.
The DW400 surpasses the 400LPH benchmark by delivering an industry leading in-tank flow of 415LPH at 40psi. Even more importantly, the DW400 delivers 31% more flow than its nearest competitor, the Walbro 450 "E85", at pressures between 70 and 100 psi.
The DW400 has a 46mm diameter and is compatible with pump gas, E85 and race fuels. The DW400 is also compatible with pulse width modulated pump drivers.
All DeatschWerks fuel pumps are backed by a 3-year no fault warranty.

Keeping it simple.
Anyone who has experience in building high horsepower cars has learned the value of simplicity. The K.I.S.S. method is well established in the high-performance aftermarket and applies to fuel systems just as much, if not more, than other aspects of a performance build. The gold standard of simplicity is a single in-tank fuel pump. A single in-tank pump is less complicated, less expensive, lighter in weight, quieter running and more reliable than any other fuel delivery method. For all these reasons, DeatschWerks are big fans of keeping the pump in the tank. There is one drawback, there is a limit to the power a single in-tank pump can support. With the release of the DW400 pump, this limit has just been raised!
Bosch Quality.
The development of a 400+ LPH pump in a footprint small enough for in-tank use is a significant engineering feature. To ensure success, DW turned to Bosch Automotive Aftermarket to collaborate on a solution. Their target was simple yet challenging: Outflow all other in-tank brushed pumps on the market, maintain flow under high loads of fuel pressure and boost pressure and withstand fuels of all types including Ethanol and race fuel. The resulting pump exceeded DW's high expectations not only for performance but also for quality. The DW400 exemplifies the high engineering and manufacturing standards of Bosch, GMBH. The DW400 is manufactured in Germany and then delivered to Oklahoma City, OK where DW performs final QA testing, packaging and distribution.
Fitment.
All performance is packaged into a 46mm body which will fit into many OE aftermarket pump modules. The 46mm body is a 16% smaller footprint than the Walbro 450 'E85' 55mm bell bottom. However, it is also a 7mm diameter increase from a standard 39mm pump. Therefore modifications may be needed to fit the pump into OE modules.
- If you have any questions or require further assistance please do not hesitate to call or send us an e-mail.
- The DW400 is a 46mm diameter pump. Standard in-tank pumps are 39mm diameter. Modifications to the fuel pump module will be necessary on some applications.
- (Wiring) A 400+ LPH pump draws substantial current (16-20 amps at typical operating pressures). Make sure your chassis wiring is up to the task of delivering this much current.
