30130012 SPAL Rubber Fan Shroud Flap (Sold individually)

SPAL Nitrile Rubber Fan Shroud Flaps are designed for custom radiator shrouds to increase the cooling performance of the radiator and fan package in all situations. These are best fitted to the extremities of the radiator where the air has the furthest to travel to pass through the radiator/fan package.

When the fan is not required: The flaps are designed to open when the pressure within the radiator shroud is higher than on the opposite side, and thus allowing the air to pass straight through rather than having to navigate through the shroud and out the radiator fan grill. The least amount of directional changes the air has to travel through then the greater cooling performance you can expect to see.

When the fans are required: The flaps will be sucked closed preventing air from flowing back through and bypassing the radiator.

The rubber pins diameter are 3.5mm, it is recommended to drill your holes 3.2mm to ensure a tight fit for the pins.

ATTENTION

• Attach flap to metal surface only! Surface must be flat and smooth, with no bumps, ridges, or grooves to work effectively.
